Little = Big

Focus on the little things in order to succeed at the big things. We see importance of details in coaching and hosting events.

Our goal is to break down movements and technique in LITTLE ways for players to understand in a way that is relatable to them. By the use of comparison of techniques in other sports or even daily life movements, we will break it down in a way that is best for you to make a BIG difference in your game.

When hosting events, we aim to look at all of the LITTLE details in order to enhance our events. We know that when we add up all of the LITTLE things we’ve learned in a coaching sessions or all the LITTLE things we have done for a tournament, it makes a BIG difference in our game or a BIG impact in a tournament.

As a company, our goal is to encourage KINDNESS and instill fun in all activities and events that we put on. Mark Twain once said, “kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.”

Lastly, HAVE FUN! Sometimes we, as players, get caught up in how well we play or how many mistakes we make. While we strive to improve, let’s remember to have fun and remember why we play pickleball in the first place.

Our Team

Jordann Vigna

Co-Owner and CEO; Head Coach

Jordann has been running events and coordinating trips now for over 10 years. She has coordinated a wide range of events including concerts, sporting events, tournaments, and many others with as many as 1000+ attendees. Planning and running trips such as camping in Zion National Park, Pickleball Getaways in Portugal, Mexico, and Costa Rica with up to 80 people.

Jordann has her Bachelors Degrees in Business Administration and Management. Since then she has founded numerous organizations including the California Association for the Sport of Roundnet (CASR).

In addition, Jordann competes at the highest level in pickleball tournaments and one of the best coaches and players in Canada. Her latest achievement is being the first round pick of the Team Smash in the Canadian National Pickleball League (CNPL).

Sophia Racine

Co-Owner and CMO

Sophia has a passion for many things but especially for people, sports, design, and wine (this comes from her Italian roots).

She has her Bachelor in Urban Planning and is an Urban Planner for Stantec in Montréal. Some of her favorite projects in Urban Planning include community gardens, Public Transportation, T.O.D ( Transit Oriented Development), and the Urban Design of a Major Baseball Stadium.

She is a natural athlete, competing at the college level in hockey and can easily pick up any sport she finds…including Pickleball. Soon after she discovered Pickleball, she became eager to improve and compete. She has quickly learned and excelled, now competing at the highest level in Québec in less than 6 months! Even though she loves it, she still has the occasional paddle throw. (haha, only kidding)

With her passion for people, and now pickleball, she couldn’t have been more excited to start this new venture with Elite Pickleball!

Jean-Fraçois Pinel

Director of Finance

A financial planner for over 30 years, Jean-François advises his clients on their personal finances, as well as helping them with the financial management of their businesses. A tennis and pickleball enthusiast, he enjoyed a career in fencing, where he won the Canadian championship title on several occasions, as well as medaling at the Pan-American Games. Passionate about people's ability to organize for the betterment of society, he has been and continues to be involved in boards and committees such as pickleball, tennis and fencing clubs, municipal committees and the National Council of the Green Party of Canada.

Our Coaches

Jordann Vigna

HEAD COACH

Jordann holds the IPTPA Level 2 certification in coaching. She has many medals and was also the 1st round pick for the Toronto Smash CNPL team and 7th pick overall.

Jordann has a diverse background in sports and coaching which allows her to relate to just about every athlete. She is the 2019 Spikeball National Champion, competing at the pro level for over 7 years. In addition, she has played competitive soccer, volleyball, softball and golf, as well as played a multitude of other sports.

She is a coach of Pickleball Getaways owned by Dekel Bar and Ben Johns (#1 player in the world). She has coached alongside some of the best players in the world including Ben Johns, Collin Johns, Dekel Bar, Kyle Yates, Andrea Coop and many others. In the past 2 years, she has coached over 500+ players!

Louis-Charles Amyot

COACH

Louis-Charles has been playing pickleball since the age of 14. Before pickleball, he played several sports, including his main childhood sport, hockey. He is a full-time student and will be graduating this winter.

He has competed in numerous tournaments across Canada and the United States over the past 6 years, including the famous US OPEN tournament in Naples, Florida. He is the 2022 Canadian National Singles Champion.

Recently, he taught alongside the world's #1 and #2 pickleball players, Ben Johns and Collin Johns on the Pickleball Getaways trip to Mexico. He hopes to pass on his passion and expertise in pickleball through coaching.

Marie Jo Trottier

COACH

Marie Joanne is certified in Canada PCCN/NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program with Mark Renneson) levels 1 and 2. She has taken the American IPTPA workshop (Teach the Teacher) with Seymour Rifkind and Ernesto Fajardo. She has a master's degree in training management/andragogy (M.Ed) from the Université de Sherbrooke. She has attended several clinics in the USA and Canada with : Catherine Parenteau, Zane Navratil, Julie Johnson, Mark Renneson, Ernesto Fajardo and Matthew Kawamoto.

She is a 4.5-5.0 level player and plays in Quebec, Canadian and American tournaments. She has collected a significant number of medals (local, national, APP and American PPA tournaments), including two golden tickets for the 2023 American national tournament. Marie Jo is sponsored by Tennis 13 Fitness, Paddletek, The Kitchen Dink and Tyrol Canada.

Drawing on her university training, she has developed an approach to learning: the pickleball triangle and several tools to accelerate player development, such as the 4F, APA, 220, Pause and other concepts.

Sophia Racine

COACH

Sophia has only been competing for the past year and has already made it to the top of Quebec female players. She has medaled in the Open division already in just her first year. She has experience coaching up to the 3.5 level and is being trained by top coach and player in Canada, Jordann Vigna. She is known for her fun spirit, kind nature, and wicked attacks.
